We've purchased the source code of Idea Exchange and I opened the Solution.sln separately, then built the Deploy_1.wdproj and then added the Dotnetnuke.dll in the references.  After having it successfully compiled it gave me the error message of
 
The control with ID 'IdeasListTabsViewUpdatePanel' requires a ScriptManager on the page. The ScriptManager must appear before any controls that need it.
 
So I added the ScriptManager in master file then it gave me the following error message
 
Object reference not set to an instance of an object

So I tried to install the module in DNN(04.09.00).  In order to do that I ran build_release_package.bat and zipped the folder and tried to install it in DNN but it's missing the files in  "CIE Categories "
 
Could you advise me the steps those should be taken to have this module worked.  The reason we purchased this module was to save some time in developing from the scratch and just apply some customization, so I need to have it worked at least as it is then to apply the customization
